You can catch Chlamydia through:
- unprotected vaginal sex
- unprotected anal sex
- unprotected oral sex
- genital contact with an infected partner (foreplay)
Anyone who has sex can get Chlamydia (and other STIs) especially if you change partners frequently or do not use a condom.
As there are often no symptoms, it is possible to infect a partner with Chlamydia without even knowing. So protect yourself and your partner by taking the simple Chlamydia test, and using a condom.
If you have had Chlamydia and/or Gonorrhoea before, and have been treated, this does not stop you from catching it if you have unprotected sex again.
